Rick Cote is a graduate of Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. Following college, Rick served for three years as an officer in the Marine Corps in the second Marine Aircraft Wing.

 
Rick joined New England Financial in 1989 and has built his practice with business owners, families and individuals, addressing retirement, estate conservation strategies and employee benefit needs. Throughout his career, Rick has helped guide his clients with knowledge in the areas of life insurance, disability income insurance, annuities, mutual funds and long-term care insurance.
 
 
Rick is also a Special Needs Planner, MetLife Center for Special Needs Planning. By participating in this special initiative, he is able to help families plan for the financial future of their children or other dependents with special needs. With particular emphasis on maintaining eligibility for government benefits through the use of special or supplement needs trusts, his focus is not limited to planning for lifetime care but also to addressing quality of life issues.
 
 
Rick has served his industry as President of the Syracuse Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. As a Certified Life Underwriter, he is also a member of the CNY Chapter of Financial Service Professionals.
